With a background in acting I understand how important it is that your headshot truly represents you, the work you want to be seen for and that it connects with its audience. I have the advantage of knowing what the actor wants and what the industry needs to see. Each one of us has a unique personality and I'm keen to draw yours out during the shoot.
I like to work with music. I have an eclectic taste ranging from film soundtracks, indie, 60's/70's and cheesy 80's, so let me know if you want to play something different! I find it helps to play something that puts you in the right frame of mind. I'm open to anything really, even silence if you wish. Whatever works best for you!
Amongst the actors I've photographed many have gone on to land regular work in TV, film or theatre and although that's to do with their talent and their agent, I'd also like to think that their headshot played a significant part in getting them in front of the casting director!
I have plenty of personal experiences of headshot photography so I understand how frustrating and nerve-wracking it can sometimes be on the other side of the lens. When you're not at ease your final images might look good, but your personality just isn’t connecting! That’s why I take the time to get to know you beforehand and try to make the shoot as enjoyable, relaxed and as productive as possible.
